Favorite book and/or movie: "I’ll go with movie since we are in the business – ‘North by Northwest,’ a Hitchcock classic."

Favorite musician/band: "I’m too into music to pick a favorite. I will tell you that I favor Jazz (particularly bebop), and R&B, but if you looked at my collection you would find some of everything from Led Zeppelin to Ella Fitzgerald. But, for live local music – the Trio at the Mason Street Grill on Monday nights is definitely my favorite." 

Favorite place to visit/vacation:  "Anywhere warm! I am from Milwaukee."

Favorite local restaurant: "Mason Street Grill."

Words to live by: "Surround yourself with people smarter than you are."

What is your core philosophy for doing business? "Let people make their own decisions, work hard and try to have some fun along the way."

Who is your role model and why? “My dad (Stephen Marcus). He is a great leader with the perfect balance of vision, insight, sensitivity and tenacity."

What was the funniest thing that has ever happened to you? "I like to laugh. Funny things happen all the time. I am not sure I could pick a funniest ever. I will share a good one, though. It is how I met my wife. She was a newscaster (anchor on the NBC affiliate here in Milwaukee). I saw her on TV and thought she was so good looking that I called her up and asked her out. The next thing I knew, (OK two years later), we were married!"
