Baird hires former Wachovia equity trader
Robert W. Baird & Co. Inc. has hired Peter Gunderson as director of principal trading.

Gunderson, formerly head of principal trading at Wachovia Securities, oversees Baird’s principal trading group, which makes a market in more than 1,600 stocks. Baird’s Institutional Equity Services team serves more than 900 institutional investors across North America and Europe. Gunderson joins Baird with nearly 20 years of industry experience and is based in the firm’s Milwaukee office. Previously, Gunderson managed Wachovia Securities’ principal traders and New York Stock Exchange floor operation.

"Principal trading continues to be a very significant opportunity for our firm and we see tremendous growth potential. Peter’s leadership and experience are a terrific addition to this important effort."

Zilber names next generation of company leaders
Jim Borris
has been named the new president and chief executive officer of Milwaukee-based real estate firm Zilber Ltd., the company’s founder and chairman, Joseph Zilber, announced.

Borris, 51, joined the company in 1986 and most recently served as president of Homes by Towne, a Zilber Company LLC. Borris is the fourth president in the 60-year history of the company.

Borris succeeds 66-year-old Arthur Wigchers, who will become vice chairman and senior advisor to Zilber Ltd.

In addition, John Kersey is being promoted from vice president of Towne Investments to executive vice president of Zilber Ltd., Robert Braun is being promoted from vice president of finance and chief financial officer of Zilber Ltd. to executive vice president and CFO of the company, and William Wigchers is being promoted from vice president and chief operating officer of Homes by Towne, a Zilber Company LLC, to vice president of Zilber Ltd.
