*Thursday, July 31, Jazz in the Park will showcase CALJE: Chicago Afro-Latin Jazz Ensemble Quintet. The music groups largely feeds off a blend of jazz and Latin rhythms. The live music will run from 6 to 9 p.m. with a Happy Hour starting at 5 p.m. Jazz in the Park, presented by Boston Store and Columbia St. Mary’s, is held each Thursday in Cathedral Square Park in downtown Milwaukee through Sept. 4. The summer concerts, which draw musicians from across the region and country, are free and open to the public and also feature food and beverage vendors onsite. *Tuesday, Aug. 5, through Thursday, Aug. 7, the Milwaukee Brewers take on the San Francisco Giants at Miller Park, located at 1 Brewers Way in Milwaukee. Games on Tuesday and Wednesday are scheduled for 7:10 p.m. while Thursday’s game will begin at 1:10 p.m. The Brewers will continue playing at home Friday, Aug. 8, through Sunday, Aug. 10, against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Friday’s game begins at 7:10 p.m., Saturday’s game starts at 6:10 p.m., and Sunday’s game starts at 1:10 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at http://milwaukee.brewers.mlb.com.

*Thursday, Aug. 7, the Milwaukee Art Museum will grant free admission to family and individual visitors, thanks to the support of Target. Free admission is awarded on the first Thursday of each month with help from Target. Groups are not eligible for the promotion. The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and is located at 700 N. *Thursday, Aug. 14, the Waukesha County Business Alliance will hold a “Networking After 5” event at Pro Health Care Waukesha’s Memorial Hospital, located at 725 American Ave. in Waukesha. “Networking After 5” gatherings, typically held every other month, give Waukesha County businesses and professionals an opportunity to get to know one another, learn about each other’s offerings, exchange referrals and explore potential partnerships. August’s event will run from 5 to 7 p.m. and costs $20 for alliance members. Non-members interested in attending should contact the alliance’s office at 262-542-4249. *Wednesday, Aug. 20, the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce will hold a free orientation to educate new members, long-time members and prospective members about the scope of its offerings. The orientation will give attendees a chance to learn about the specific benefits of MMAC membership and will also give them an opportunity to network with other area business professionals. The orientation will run from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at the MMAC’s offices, located at 756 N. Milwaukee St., fourth floor, in downtown Milwaukee.
