*Thursday, June 11, the Waukesha County Business Alliance in partnership with BizTimes Media will present the Top 10 Businesses of the Year Awards ceremony. The annual awards program recognizes 10 businesses in the region that demonstrate financial growth, commitment to both customers and the community, and strong employee relations. Winning businesses were selected by an independent panel of judges. The awards program, which features networking, a luncheon and presentations, will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Country Springs Hotel & Conference Center, located at 2810 Golf Rd. in Pewaukee. Cost is $50 for alliance members and $500 for a corporate table of 10. For non-members, cost is $65 for individuals and $650 for a corporate table of 10. *Thursday, June 11, the Greater Brookfield Chamber of Commerce will present a “Business After 5” networking event. The event will run from 5 to 7 p.m. at First Bank Financial Centre, located at 18815 W. Capitol Drive in Brookfield. Cost is $10 for chamber members who preregister and $15 at the door. *Thursday, June 11, East Town Association will launch the 2015 season of “Jazz in the Park.” The free outdoor music series, presented by Boston Store and Columbia St. Mary’s, brings live jazz to Cathedral Square in downtown Milwaukee. Concerts are held each Thursday from 5 to 9 p.m. The music kicks off at 6 p.m. with a happy hour scheduled for 5 p.m. This week’s show will feature The Jimmys, a group comprised of a keyboardist, drummer, four-piece horn section, bass guitarist, blues guitarist and vocals. “Jazz in the Park” runs through Thursday, Sept. 3. *Tuesday, June 16, FUEL Milwaukee will hold a “Purely Social” event at Ale Asylum Riverhouse, located at 1110 N. Old World 3rd Street in Milwaukee. Purely Social, a monthly series that is free and open to the public, brings Milwaukee professionals to different venues across the city for networking. During the June event, attendees will be able to enjoy drink specials, complimentary appetizers and live music on Ale Asylum Riverhouse’s patio. *Tuesday, June 16, “Chill on the Hill” will feature live music performed by singers/songwriters Anna Fermin and Chrissy Dzioba. “Chill on the Hill” is a free weekly music series that brings live music acts to Humboldt Park in Bay View each Tuesday evening. The music kicks off at 6 p.m. The summer series, presented by the Bay View Neighborhood Association, runs through Tuesday, Sept. 1.
