*Thursday, Nov. 1, Target Free First Thursday will grant free admission to visitors at the Milwaukee Art Museum, 700 N. Art Museum Dr. in Milwaukee. *Friday, Nov. 2, BMO Harris Bradley Center, located at 1001 N. 4th St. in Milwaukee, invites the public for a sneak preview of changes that have been made to the facility for the upcoming season. The free event begins at 10 a.m. and will include a behind-the-scenes tour of changes like new concession choices and refurbished suites as well as a ribbon cutting ceremony. Palermo Pizza’s annual tip-off lunch will offer free pizza to the public at 11:30 a.m.
*Thursday, Nov. 8, the Urban Economic Development Association of Wisconsin (UEDA) and the City of Milwaukee will host the 11th annual Community Development Summit. The event, titled “Completing the Circuit: Electrifying the Job Market,” will focus on workforce development with input from employers, educational institutions, nonprofits, entrepreneurs and others. Attendees will also be encouraged to actively participate in discussions surrounding workforce development challenges and initiatives. The event is scheduled to run from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at ManpowerGroup, 100 Manpower Place in Milwaukee. Registration is required and costs $35 for non-UEDA members and $25 for members. *Saturday, Nov. 10, and Sunday, Nov. 11, the Harley-Davidson Museum will host its annual Veterans Celebration Weekend in honor of Veterans Day. The celebration will include free museum admission for military personnel, veterans and their family members; a ceremony to honor veterans with St. John’s Northwestern Military Academy Program; a drill team performance by St. John’s Northwestern Military drill team; an appearance by Glory the Bald Eagle from the Schlitz Audubon Nature Center; and a flag signing for military personnel currently on duty overseas. *Tuesday, Nov. 13, the Waukesha County Business Alliance will host a Technology Tuesdays for Small Businesses seminar focused on the “Power of E-mail Marketing & How to Manage Customers (CRM).” Attendees will learn more about permission-based marketing and when and how often to send e-mails to the list they’ve built. The information session is scheduled for 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Microsoft Corporation, N19W24113 Riverwood Dr., Suite 150, in Waukesha. Cost is $15.
