    • Friday, June 8 Silver Spring Neighborhood Center will hold its Annual Alumni Recognition Awards Breakfast at the Hilton Milwaukee City Center, 509 W.     • Monday, June 11 The Helen Bader Leadership Speaker Series at Cardinal Stritch University will host Vijay Govindarajan, as its keynote speaker on Reverse Innovation. The event will take place at the Pfister Hotel, 424 E. Wisconsin Ave. in downtown Milwaukee from 7:30 to 11 a.m. Named the world’s third most influential business thinker by The Thinkers50, Vijay Govindarajan directs the Tuck’s Center for Global Leadership at Dartmouth College. He was the first Professor in Residence and Chief Innovation Consultant at General Electric, and has been cited by BusinessWeek, The Economist, Forbes, and The London Times as the top thought leader in strategy. He will speak on his new book, Reverse Innovation: Create Far From Home, Win Everywhere, Copies of the book will be for sale at the event for $10.  Cost to attend is $40 per person or $750 for a table sponsor.     • Saturday, June 16 Glendale will host the third annual Wisconsin Beer Lovers Festival, from 1 to 5 p.m. at Bayshore Town Center. The festival is hosted by the City of Glendale, in partnership with the Wisconsin Brewer’s Guild and Draft Magazine, and is the premier all-Wisconsin craft beer and tasting festival, featuring selections from more than 31 craft breweries throughout the state. Each of the participating breweries will be paired with local chefs to create a unique tasting portion designed to complement a variety of unique beers available for sampling. Tickets and festival travel packages are available at www.WisconsinBeerLoversFest.com  starting at $40. Tickets include admission, a souvenir beer glass and unlimited sampling of beers and food pairings.  Patrons must be 21 years of age or older to attend the event. Photo identification will be required at the admission entrance. Designated drivers and patrons under 21 years of age can purchase a “Food Lovers Ticket” for $20.
    • Wednesday, June 20 Culinary educator and three-time cookbook co-author Alamelu Vaira-van will be the keynote presenter at the Women’s Focus Luncheon at the Ozaukee Country Club, 10823 N. River Road in Mequon. Her presentation will be on “Healing Spices from India. Attendees will learn about some of the health benefits of some particular ingredients.
