Patrick Finger didn’t want David Velcheck to have all the fun when Velcheck decided to start a consulting company on his own. So in 2006, when Velcheck asked Finger for advice on purchasing a consulting company, the two partnered to form Velcheck & Finger Roof Consulting and Service.
The roofing company offers assistance for commercial real estate, including roof repair, project management and roofing consulting.
The various services the company offers not only allow building owners to expand the lives of their roofs, but they can also cut costs by being able to provide competitive requests for proposals and open up the bidding process to several roofing contractors.
“Nobody else does what we do. That’s what makes us unique,” Finger said. “We can help maintain your roof and if it can’t be fixed we can help you with the next step in providing services to start planning and building.”
In just the past two years, the business has grown from three to 21 employees and revenues have gone up 250 percent, pushing Velcheck & Finger to purchase a new building in the Pewaukee Business Park, where they moved last March.
The rapid growth has been possible because of great office management, communication and problem-solving methods to keep up with all of their unique offerings, they said.
