BMO Harris Bank establishes $600,000 partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs and Marquette University

BMO Harris Bank will offer underprivileged students greater access to educational programming, mentoring opportunities and leadership skills training through a five-year, $600,000 working relationship with Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee and Marquette University, according to an announcement Tuesday.

The partnership will specifically focus on helping students achieve college admission and graduation. The donation will also provide the funds to develop a career readiness program to give Graduation Plus students at Marquette internships and job exposure at BMO Harris Bank.

Another component of the educational programming initiative will provide financial literacy classes to students at Boys & Girls Clubs to reinforce responsible financial practices.

“Education is one of the cornerstones in how we help our communities, and this partnership will help ensure that more students get into college,” said Kara Kaiser, regional president of BMO Harris Bank. “We want to make the dream of a college education a reality for more of our youth because there is so much untapped potential that we need to lead us forward.”
