BloodCenter of Wisconsin to host 15th annual Milwaukee Bucks Blood Drive

The Milwaukee-based BloodCenter of Wisconsin is teaming up with the Milwaukee Bucks to host the 15th annual Milwaukee Bucks Blood Drive. The drive will be held on Monday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the BMO Harris Bradley Center, 1001 N. 4th St., Milwaukee.

Donors may call 1-877-BE-A-HERO (1-877-232-4376) or visit www.bcw.edu/bucks to make an appointment.

In gratitude for their life-saving gifts, all attempting donors will receive a voucher for two tickets to a future Bucks game. The voucher can be used for one of two games: the Saturday, April 4 game against the Orlando Magic at 7:30 p.m. or the Wednesday, April 15 game against the Boston Celtics at 7 p.m.

All attempting donors will also receive a limited-edition Bucks T-shirt along with complimentary childcare.

Members of the Milwaukee Bucks Dance Team and Bucks mascot Bango will be on hand throughout the day. Bucks players and coaches plan to visit following their morning practice.

Free parking is available diagonally from the blood drive entrance in the parking structure on 4th Street and Highland Avenue. Donors should enter the blood drive at the northeast corner of the BMO Harris Bradley Center at the Potawatomi Gate entrance.

Donations of all blood types are needed, but there is an especially great need for O negative donors. Anyone 16 or older who is in general good health and meets eligibility requirements is encouraged to donate blood. Parental consent is required for 16-year-olds to donate.

The entire process takes about an hour. Donors should bring a photo ID that includes birth date.
