Home sales in the four-county metro Milwaukee area increased 5.3% in August, year-over-year, to 2,342.

Wisconsin’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in August was 6.2% down from 7.1% in July but up from 3.4% a year ago.

The Milwaukee-area manufacturing index was 51.37 in August. Any reading above 50 indicates growth. It was the first month above 50 for the index since January.

Total passenger traffic at Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport was down 71.9% in July, year-over-year, an improvement from a 77.8% decline in June.

Wisconsin exports dropped 3.1% in July, year-over-year. The state exported $1.67 billion in goods during the month.
