Passenger traffic at Mitchell International Airport in Milwaukee rose 2.8 percent in 2018 to nearly

7.1 million.


Metro Milwaukee home sales were down

in January, the seventh month out of the last nine with a year-over-year sales decline.


The metro Milwaukee manufacturing index was  

58.78 

in January, an improvement from 52.87 in December. Any reading greater than 50 indicates growth.


Wisconsin added  

44,900 

private sector jobs in 2018, a nearly 1.8 percent increase.


The number of workers in Wisconsin who are members of unions declined by  

11,000

to 219,000 in 2018, a decrease of 4.8 percent.
