BizTimes to present Best in Business Awards

BizTimes Media is accepting nominations for its inaugural Best in Business Awards.

 

The new awards, which will be bestowed in December, will honor excellence in business in southeastern Wisconsin for 2013.

To be eligible, recipients must be based in Milwaukee, Waukesha, Racine, Kenosha, Walworth, Ozaukee, Washington or Sheboygan counties.

The categories for the awards will include:
*Corporation of the Year – This award will salute a large local company. Consideration will be given to corporate growth, commitments to employees and impact on the community.
*Small Business of the Year – This award will salute a robust local small business. Consideration will be given to corporate growth, commitments to employees and impact on the community.
*Family-Owned Business of the Year – This award will salute a local family-owned business. Consideration will be given to corporate growth, commitments to employees and impact on the community. 
*CEO of the Year – This award will salute a company leader who has demonstrated vision, entrepreneurship, leadership and innovation.

“Key components of our mission at BizTimes Media are to shine the spotlight on company best practices and to facilitate commerce and foster business growth throughout the region. These awards will enable us to advance that mission by saluting the Best in Business for the year,” BizTimes publisher Dan Meyer said.

The winners of the awards will be profiled in the Dec. 16 edition of BizTimes Milwaukee magazine.
