BizTimes invites nonprofits to participate in 2013 Giving Guide

BizTimes Milwaukee invites southeastern Wisconsin nonprofit organizations to take advantage of a year-long marketing opportunity by submitting information to be featured in the 2013 BizTimes Giving Guide, a print and digital publication to showcase nonprofit organizations seeking support from the business community.

The 2013 Giving Guide will be a glossy four-color magazine that will highlight nonprofit organizations that have a presence in southeastern Wisconsin. The special glossy supplement will be published and distributed along with the Nov. 12, 2012, issue of BizTimes Milwaukee and will also be available online in a digital page turn format. It will include information on nonprofit organizations involved with the arts and humanities, health and human services, foundations and fundraising.

“The BizTimes Giving Guide will provide an opportunity for nonprofit organizations throughout southeastern Wisconsin to connect with the affluent and influential business executives in the region,” said Dan Meyer, publisher of BizTimes Milwaukee.

“The nonprofit industry is an important sector of our local economy. This guide will be a great resource for the nonprofits, as well as business people who are looking for ways to serve. It’s also a great opportunity and easy way for an individual or company to ‘adopt’ a nonprofit by investing in a profile for a designated nonprofit. It would provide that organization exposure to the market in ways they would not normally realize.”

Space in the Giving Guide includes a year-long two page spread in the print and online edition of the Giving Guide, logo recognition in Giving Guide promotional ads, 10,000 impressions on BizTimes.com, a text link and an ad in an issue of BizTimes Nonprofit Weekly as well as logo placement next to the organization listing in the BizTimes Nonprofit Directory.

“The Giving Guide will be a year-long ‘value play’ for our participating nonprofit organizations,” said Tom Gaertner, BizTimes Media vice president of sales. “It’s all about putting the right message in front of business owners and decision makers who can truly make a difference in our community.”

Nonprofit organizations that want to be included in the BizTimes Giving Guide or companies and individuals who want to “adopt” a nonprofit can call Gaertner at (414) 336-7112 for more information about the marketing opportunities in the special publication.

The 2013 BizTimes Giving Guide also will include editorial stories about southeastern Wisconsin business executives who are making a difference by donating their time, talents and treasures to local charities. Submit your suggestions for people to be profiled to reporter Erica Breunlin at erica.breunlin@biztimes.com.
