Milwaukee’s Florentine Opera Company recently celebrated its upcoming production of "Rio de Sangre." The new opera will be the first world premiere in the company’s history and their first opera to be performed completely in Spanish. A celebration gala was recently held at the Wayne & Kristine Lueders Florentine Opera Center and La Lune Collection Factory in Riverwest. "Rio de Sangre", the first opera by Emmy Award-winning composer Don Davis, composer of the scores for "The Matrix" trilogy and "Toy Story 3," premiered at the Marcus Center of the Performing Arts on Oct. 22.
