Callen Construction Inc.
Callen Construction Inc., Muskego, now offers Infinity, a line of replacement windows manufactured by Marvin Windows and Doors, Inc., Warroad, Minn. The windows are made out of Ultrex, a pultruded fiberglass material. Callen Construction will feature Infinity’s line of products including double hungs, casements, awnings and gliders that are custom-sized to fit into an existing window frame without disrupting interior trim, interior walls or siding.

SynergyHealth St. Joseph’s Hospital
Michael Laird will join SynergyHealth St. Joseph’s Hospital, West Bend, as president, effective Aug. 28. Laird most recently served as chief executive officer of Sainte Genevieve County Memorial Hospital, Sainte Genevieve, Mo., for more than five years. Sainte Genevieve County Memorial Hospital is affiliated with BJC HealthCare, St. Louis. Prior to joining Sainte Genevieve, Laird served as chief executive officer of Pana Community Hospital, Pana, Ill., and held senior management positions at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Breese, Ill., and St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan. Laird holds a bachelor’s degree in social work from St. John’s University and a master’s degree in hospital and health administration from Xavier University. He is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and serves on the ACHE council of regents, St. Louis. Laird is also a member of the American Hospital Association’s regional policy board.

Jewish Family Services and Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan, Inc.
Jewish Family Services, Milwaukee, in cooperation with Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan Inc., Milwaukee, received a two-year $50,000 grant from the Helen Bader Foundation, Milwaukee, to fund a health education and wellness center for Eastern European immigrants. The Milwaukee-based immigrants, primarily from the former Soviet Union and former Yugoslavia, will receive vascular disease prevention education, screening and early intervention from bilingual community health workers in cooperation with hospitals and clinics that currently serve these populations. The educational and preventative services provided will decrease the need for more costly emergency and long-term medical services.

The International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans
The International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans, Brookfield, published, Auditing and Legal Services: Sample RFPs (request for proposals). The publication is part of the International Foundation’s Survey & Sample Series. The series was created to provide survey data and samples on a variety of employee benefits topics to allow benefits professionals to compare their plans to others, determine trends and costs, and better manage their plans. The book features 20 sample auditing services RFPs and seven sample legal services RFPs. Two articles that address legalities and practicalities of selecting services providers are also included. The samples include RFPs for financial and other auditing services, as well as legal services.

Batzner Pest Management Inc.
Batzner Pest Management Inc., New Berlin, joined the Environmental Protection Agency’s Pesticide Environmental Stewardship Program (PESP) as a member of the program. The PESP is a voluntary partnership designed to reduce the risks associated with pesticide usage.

Bell Ambulance Inc.
Bell Ambulance Inc., Milwaukee developed and launched a bariatric system to decrease the risk and increase the comfort of bariatric patients. The system includes a larger ambulance, a wider cot and a winch-assisted ramp system for lift and descent. The larger ambulance will provide more room for the emergency medial technicians to care for a patient and reduce barriers commonly associated with the transport of bariatric patients.
