Foley & Lardner LLP
Legal Action of Wisconsin LLP announced that it has received a $10,000 donation from Foley & Lardner LLP in Milwaukee. The donation is the result of attorney fees recovered in a case won by Foley attorney David N. Farwell on behalf of a Legal Action client. Legal Action of Wisconsin’s Milwaukee Office provides free legal services in a variety of civil legal matters to eligible applicants residing in Milwaukee and Waukesha counties. Legal Action’s Milwaukee Office is also home to the SeniorLAW project, which serves people 60 and older, and the Road to Opportunity Project, which resolves civil legal problems that are barriers to employment, such as the recovery of a valid driver’s license. Local attorneys provide pro bono legal services to supplement the work of Legal Action of Wisconsin’s staff attorneys and paralegals. Legal Action uses donations to offset the court costs and other expenses that volunteer attorneys may incur during the course of their representation.
