Foti Chiropractic
Wauwatosa-based Foti Chiropractic has been honored with the Wauwatosa Chamber of Commerce’s Regional Impact Award. The award highlights a company or person that has significantly shaped the Wauwatosa area in continuous community support, educational influence, chamber advocacy and work as a market leader. Foti Chiropractic, which is a family-owned business, has been committed to backing Make-A-Wish Wisconsin, having fundraised enough to grant the wishes of three children facing life threatening illnesses. The clinic also often takes part in community events and provides free health screenings. The Wauwatosa Chamber recognized Foti Chiropractic during its 2015 Annual Community Showcase and Social, held Jan. 15 at the Crowne Plaza Milwaukee West hotel in Wauwatosa.

UPAF
Mary Dowell, vice president of foundation affairs and global community relations at Glendale-based Johnson Controls, was recently named the recipient of the United Performing Arts Fund Notable Woman Award. The accolade, sponsored by BMO Harris Bank, recognizes a woman who has made top achievements in “promoting accessibility to arts education, personal philanthropy, educating stakeholders about UPAF and the performing arts, and commitment to the next generation and youth in our community.” Dowell is a founding member of UPAF Notable Women, an affinity group that concentrates on ensuring that arts education can help the next generation maximize its potential. She has also guided community relations outreach at Johnson Controls for more than a decade and has been president of Professional Dimensions, Ko-Thi Dance Company and the Milwaukee Urban League. Additionally, she serves as a member of TEMPO Milwaukee, Rotary Club of Milwaukee, The Donors Forum and YMCA Sista Pride Committee. Her other board commitments include ABCD: After Breast Cancer Diagnosis; Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Wisconsin Inc.; Marcus Center for the Performing Arts; Milwaukee Women, Inc.; VISIT Milwaukee; United Way Collaborative Fund and United Way’s Women’s Leadership Council. UPAF saluted Dowell during its annual meeting in December.

Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek S.C.
The Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek S.C. law firm announced plans to open a new office in Waukesha County and expand its leadership team. Final terms of the lease on the unspecified location of the new office are still being negotiated. The full-service corporate and litigation office will complement the firm’s other offices in Milwaukee, Madison and Chicago. To lead the firm’s new location, two of Waukesha County’s preeminent corporate and environmental attorneys, Timothy Nettesheim and Donald Gallo, respectively, have been hired and will join the firm’s integrated corporate and environmental law practice. Nettesheim and Gallo previously worked at Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren S.C. In addition to Nettesheim and Gallo, the office will be staffed by about 20 employees, including attorneys, environmental consultants, paralegals, office administrators and legal secretarial support.
