Milwaukee-based Derse Inc. has promoted company president Adam Beckett to chief executive officer.
Beckett succeeds Bill Haney, who had served as CEO since 1989. Beckett is only the company’s third CEO since the firm was founded in 1948.
Derse, located in the Menomonee Valley, has grown to become one of the world’s largest face-to-face marketing companies, helping companies promote themselves at trade shows, events and marketing environments.
Beckett’s appointment is part of a succession plan that was more than 10 years in the making.
Haney will remain as chairman of the company.
The company is on track for a record sales year in 2012.
