Barrientos Design acquires Oak Creek architectural firm

Milwaukee-based architectural firm Barrientos Design has acquired selected assets of T.L. Finke & Associates, an Oak Creek-based architectural firm. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Barrientos Design has taken over active project contracts, outstanding proposals, project records, design equipment and CADD files from T.L. Finke. Two of T.L. Finke’s key employees have been retained by Barrientos Design, bringing its employment to 10.

“With this technical data and building history knowledge, Barrientos Design will be able to effectively continue work for past T.L. Finke projects,” said Norman Barrientos, president of Barrientos Design. “We are excited by this growth opportunity to service more clients and to extend Finke’s design heritage with Barrientos’ future.”

Barrientos Design is now better equipped to serve clients in the retail, senior housing and industrial segments, Barrientos said.

This acquisition will not be Barrientos Design’s last, Barrientos said.

“We’re hoping to do another purchase,” he said. “We’ve informed the same broker (Sunbelt Business Brokers) that brought this deal to us that we’d look at others. We think this is a good time (to buy).”
