Bank set to seize Michigan Avenue tower

    Wells Fargo Bank N.A. is poised to seize a Michigan Avenue office tower about six months after filing a $103 million foreclosure suit, setting up a likely sale of the building.

    The San Francisco-based bank prevailed last week at a sheriff’s sale of the 27-story tower at 625 N. Michigan Ave. by making a so-called credit bid of $90 million. Once a Cook County judge affirms the sale, Wells Fargo will gain possession of the 349,409-square-foot property
