AT&T activates Internet cell tower in Dousman

As part of its continuing network investment and ongoing 4G LTE rollout, AT&T Inc. has bolstered its signal reach in southeastern Wisconsin by adding a mobile Internet cell site in Dousman.

“AT&T’s launch of a new cell tower in our area is not only a benefit for consumers, but also for businesses and the local economy,” said State Rep. Chris Kapenga (R-Delafield). “Advancement in new technologies is a critical economic driver for businesses to remain competitive and to foster further economic growth.”

AT&T launched its ultra-fast 4G LTE network in Milwaukee in November of 2012. The new cell site is one part of the company’s ongoing efforts to expand 4G LTE coverage.

“Our goal is for our customers to have an extraordinary experience, and they’ll be able to download, upload, stream and game faster than ever before on our 4G LTE network,” said Scott VanderSanden, president of AT&T Wisconsin. “As part of the Milwaukee area community, we’re always looking for new opportunities to provide enhanced coverage, and our investment in the local wireless network is another way we’re accomplishing that.”
