Associated Banc-Corp, corporate parent of Green Bay-based Associated Bank, has appointed Oliver Buechse as executive vice president and chief strategy officer. He will also serve as a member of the Associated Banc-Corp Executive Committee.

Flynn, president and CEO of Associated Banc-Corp. “Oliver is widely regarded as an experienced strategist who has developed innovative strategy tools and processes. He will work collaboratively with senior managers throughout our organization on the development of the company’s strategic plan, focusing on corporate and business line strategies that best position Associated for future success.”
Bueschse previously worked as the head of strategy at San Francisco-based Union Bank and was in charge of North American Vision and Portfolio Strategy for Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi UFJ, Union Bank’s parent company. He started his career at McKinsey & Company, working in the U.S, Germany, and Austria.
