Ascension Wisconsin to open three urgent care locations in southeastern Wisconsin

Ascension Wisconsin this week opened an urgent care location with Physicians Immediate Care at 3111 S. Chicago Ave., South Milwaukee.

Ascension Wisconsin announced it is opening three new urgent care locations in southeastern Wisconsin in partnership with Illinois-based Physicians Immediate Care. The new locations include: 3111 S. Chicago Ave. in South Milwaukee, which opened earlier this week; 19165 Bluemound Road in Brookfield, which will open Nov. 9; and 1019 S. Green Bay Road in Mount Pleasant, which is scheduled to open early next year. The Ascension urgent care centers will be located within Physicians Urgent Care-branded facilities. “These new urgent care centers complement our existing urgent care and occupational health sites and provide additional care options to the communities we’re privileged to serve,” said Bernie Sherry, senior vice president of Ascension and ministry market executive of Ascension Wisconsin. “These additional sites of care will allow us to continue to deliver on the promise to provide care in ways that are affordable, accessible and convenient for our communities.” Physicians Immediate Care, which is headquarterd in Rosemont, Illinois, has more than 40 locations in Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin. More than half of its locations are partnered with other health systems. Ascension said it is considering opening additional sites in southeastern Wisconsin, northern Wisconsin and the Fox Valley. “We are excited to partner with Ascension to bring accessible and affordable care to its patients. Ascension Wisconsin’s leadership and strong commitment to that goal aligns perfectly with our purpose of providing ‘remarkable care you can count on, when and where you need it,’” said Stan Blaylock, chief executive officer of Physicians Immediate Care. Ascension Wisconsin recently opened a new clinic in Milwaukee's Historic Third Ward. It also has plans to open small-scale hospitals in WaukeshaGreenfield and Menomonee Falls.
