Port Washington-based insurance and risk management company Ansay & Associates has acquired Brookfield-based A.G.I.S. Insurance center.
A.G.I.S, an independent insurance agency that has served Wisconsin residents since 1979, has a network of agents who provide home and auto insurance, SR-22 filings as well as umbrella and commercial lines insurance.
The acquisition provides a greater depth of coverage for Ansay clients by incorporating the personal and commercial lines offerings of A.G.I.S. to its lineup, the company stated in a press release. A.G.I.S. agents will be overseen by Ansay executive vice president Heidi Nienow.
“Even with the great challenges presented by the (COVID-19) pandemic, we’ve maintained a growth mindset,” Ansay & Associates chief executive officer Mike Ansay said in a statement. “As an essential business, it’s our job to continue to serve customers by providing uniquely tailored coverage that fits their needs and provides peace of mind during these trying times. This acquisition helps us achieve that goal.”
Ansay has acquired several other firms over the last 25 years. Since 1995, Ansay has acquired 17 insurance agencies and combined with one other insurance agency, according to the company’s website.
Since 2015, the company has acquired Koehler Insurance Agency, Disher Insurance Services, Servant Insurance, Thomas Insurance Group, Wotja Hansen Insurance Agency and Indianhead Insurance Agency.
In October of 2019, Ansay raised$10.5 million, according to a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filing.
Ansay is a regional property and casualty insurance and benefit solutions agency with offices in Port Washington, Cedarburg, Burlington, West Bend, Marshfield, Mosinee, Manitowoc, Madison, Appleton, Green Bay and Stevens Point.
The company manages the insurance and risk needs of over 5,000 business, non-profit, and governmental clients in Wisconsin and the Midwest.
