Wisco Hotel Group plans to build a 120-room hotel in Oak Creek.
Fond du Lac-based Wisco Hotel Group plans to build a 120-room hotel on a vacant 7.5-acre property behind the Candlewood suits and Fairfield Inn hotels that it opened earlier this year at 6440 S. 13th St.
Wisco Hotel Group purchased the site for the third hotel from Edgerton Contractors.
The company recently received a $615,000 brownfield grant form the state for the project. The total project cost is estimated at $17.4 million
An Oak Creek official said the city has not been notified about any details for the project, including the hotel brand.
The site is near Mitchell International Airport in an area that has attracted several new hotels and hotel remodeling projects in recent years.
