The Briggs & Al’s Run & Walk for Children’s Hospital, which has raised over $15 million since 1978, is scheduled for Saturday.
The start line ceremonies will be kicked off by Radio Disney at 12th Street and Wisconsin Avenue on the Marquette University campus in downtown Milwaukee. The wheelchair race begins at 10:15 a.m., with runners following at 10:30 a.m. and walkers taking the three-and five-mile routes immediately behind the runners. All routes end at Henry Maier Festival Park with a finish line celebration.
The event will feature performances by headliner Mat Kearney and children’s group Ralph’s World in addition to a health and fitness fair and a children’s inflatable play area.
Online registration is available through noon Friday at alsrun.com. Day-of registration opens at 8 a.m. near the event start line. Advance registration is $30 for adult runners and wheelchair athletes, $15 for runners 12 and younger, $25 for adult walkers and $10 for walkers under 12. Children age 2 and under register free. Day-of registration fees are $35, $17, $30 and $12, respectively.
