Union Grove-based American Roller Company announced that it has acquired Paris, Arkansas-based Big River Roller, a manufacturer of precision industrial rollers. American Roller Company makes custom-built rollers, and does roller component coating and roller repair. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. American Roller says the acquisition further expands its position in the south and further enhances its capabilities in rubber coverings and core design and manufacturing. Big River Roller was founded in 2019 by four entrepreneurs. The founding members of Big River Roller are becoming part of the ownership group of American Roller. “As both companies experienced growing demand from their customer base, the opportunity to join forces and scale capabilities to serve customers was clear,” American Roller said in a news release. The company says it is the only supplier in the industry with in-house cores, covering, and coatings capabilities. It says the acquisition of Big River Roller will help it expand that strategy. “What Big River accomplished in building their business in a relatively short amount of time is truly inspiring,” said Dan Cahalane, president, and CEO of American Roller. “Our customers are excited to see us expand in this region, and we are thrilled to have such an enthusiastic group leading our efforts.” In conjunction with the acquisition of Big River Roller, American Roller expanded its truck runs adding four new service routes. The expanded core manufacturing capability of Big River will be integrated into the American Roller engineering process. “We have admired American Roller since our founding due to their depth of capabilities and the quality they deliver to the market,” said Robert Cox, one of the founding members of Big River Roller. “The next phase of our growth is accelerated by joining forces with American Roller and we are excited to be part of the leadership team.”
