Alzheimer’s Association hosts caregiver workshop

The Alzheimer’s Association has launched its “Savvy Caregiver” program series designed to provide clinical level training for family caregivers.
The six week workshop will be offered on Thursdays from May 20 until June 24 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Alzheimer’s Association, 620 S. 76th St., suite 160. It is open to family members who are providing care for a loved one with Alzheimers disease or a related dementia.
Participants will increase personal knowledge and skills to assess abilities of a loved one with dementia, and strategies to manage day to day living. The program will be presented by Diane Baughn, education and training services manager at the Alzheimer’s Association. Cost to attend is $30 for course materials and advanced registration is required. Scholarships are available. For registration and information, please contact Diane Baughn at 414-479-8800.
