Alverno appoints Rajendra to board of trustees

Alverno College, of Milwaukee, has added Ajita Rajendra, president and chief executive officer of Milwaukee-based A.O. Smith Corporation, to its board of trustees.

 

Rajendra has served at the head of the $2.2 billion water technology company since January 2013, focusing on strategy development and implementation, global operations, mergers and acquisitions, and shareholder returns.

He previously worked as president and chief operating officer of A.O. Smith Corporation with responsibilities over the company’s water heater operations in North America, China, Europe and India as well as responsibilities over its water purification initiatives in China and the Lochinvar global boiler business.

Rajendra also is a member of the board of directors for the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce and for Donaldson Company, Inc., headquartered in Bloomington, Minn.
