What has fueled your company’s growth? Growth is based on expansion into manufacturing our own medical battery packs, increased international sales, government sales and partnerships with medical device manufacturers.

What is the biggest obstacle to your company’s growth? The biggest obstacle is working within a regulated industry and global competition, high cost of regulation and high taxes.

Do you plan any changes in your company in the upcoming months?

We plan on increasing automation, introducing more lean manufacturing techniques to lower production costs, and provide additonal employee training.

Who are the business people, locally or nationally, whom you admire? And what traits do those people exhibit that make you admire them?

The person I admire is Jack Welch from GE. He has the ability to make the tough decisions, sometimes unpopular decisions, but necessary to have the organization be successful globally. I also like the leadership suggestions from Stephen Covey, Allen Fishman from The Alternative Board who emphasizes systemization and how to be a successful entrepreneur.

What is the outlook for the business conditions of your industry over the next several months?

The outlook for the health care industry should be good due to rising utilization and aging population. However we still need to be able to compete globally and resist price pressures.

What is your company’s key strategy for rising out of the recession?

Our strategy is continuing to focus on product quality and service quality, emphasizing the value we bring to our customers, increasing our marketing, focusing on accountablity and achievement.

Congratulations from the strategic partner behind Alpha Source.
