Affordable senior apartments planned for west side

United Methodist Children’s Services of Wisconsin and the Hmong American Frieship Association plans to build an affordable senior housing development on a vacant lot at 3701-19 W. Vliet St. on the west side of the city of Milwaukee.

The 40,000-square-foot building will have 24 one-bedroom units, 15 efficiency units and 10,000 square feet of community space.
Rents will be subsidized for seniors with incomes at 50 to 60 percent of the county’s median income.
