A groundbreaking ceremony will be held on Tuesday, May 18, to celebrate the start of construction of an 80,988-square-foot, two-story office building in Menomonee Falls, which will be the new corporate headquarters for Actuant Corp.
Wauwatosa-based Irgens Development Partners LLC is developing the building, which will be leased to Actuant.
Actuant will move its corporate headquarters from Butler to the building, and an existing building nearby.
The new office building that will be built by Irgens will house 175 employees and is expected to be completed in April of 2011. It will be built on a vacant site located across the street from a 175,000-square-foot building at 12545 W. Westbrook Crossing, which was purchased by Milwaukee-based Towne Investments (a division of Zilber Ltd.) last year.
Towne is leasing that building, which has office and warehouse space, to Actuant. Towne will also remodel and add a 137,000-square-foot expansion to the building for Actuant. That project will be complete by this summer.
Actuant’s electrical segment will move into the Towne building. The Irgens building will house the corporate staff, a global learning center and the support functions of several of Actuant’s business segments including industrial, energy and engineered solutions.
