Accent on Dance Studios Inc. plans to build a new 14,000-square-foot building northeast of Watertown Road and County Highway F in the city of Pewaukee.
The business, which teaches several different types of dance, is currently located in rented space at W226N555 Eastmound Dr. in Pewaukee.
“We wanted to own our own building,” said owner Chris Plath.
Accent on Dance recently purchased the 8.1-acre site from Benjamin and Nancy Mohns for $275,000. Mike Judson and Mark Gorski of Judson & Associates brokered the deal.
Mohns Inc. will be the builder for the new building.
The new building will have a similar amount of space as Accent on Dance’s existing location, but it will be more efficient and the site has space for future expansion if necessary, Plath said.
The new building will have six dance studios and a 150-seat theater, he said.
Construction is expected to begin soon and be complete in August, Plath said.
