Abele hires Conway as communications director

    Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele has named television news reporter Brendan Conway his new director of communications.
    Conway spent the past eight years as a news reporter at WISN-TV Channel 12 in Milwaukee.
    In his new role, Conway will help Abele share his ideas, goals and vision of Milwaukee County to taxpayers and the news media.
    Conway brings 14 years of news reporting experience, including extensive knowledge of Milwaukee County government.
    “I’m looking forward to having Brendan on board. His expertise and experience will help me continue to move Milwaukee County forward,” Abele said.
    Conway said he is eager to start at his new job.
    “The County Executive has a strong vision for Milwaukee County that I know I can help share through traditional news media and social media,” Conway said.
