A new way of thinking about water

Over recent months we have heard the reports – NASA researchers are predicting a “megadrought” in the U.S. in the coming decades.

While it may not reach the level of a term such as “mega,” the question I ask is whether we are actually facing that dilemma now, not in 35 years?

We are hearing daily drought reports about California, but the fact is that there are similar announcements coming out of Texas, Nevada, Arizona and, yes, even Washington State. On one hand, it is great that it recently rained in Texas, but the problem is that it was too much, too fast.

It is time to make a paradigm shift from our water silos to One Water. One Water is a way to change this path, a new way of thinking about water and industry together rather than in separate silos.

The world’s water problems are too severe and complex to be solved by a single entity. This year’s Water Summit on June 23-24 is convening the world’s leading water professionals to discuss these issues and what it will take to create a One Water Region anywhere in the world.

I strongly encourage you to register for this year’s Water Summit and join us in the discussion. To discover new ways to engage this year click here.
