Gov. Scott Walker recently announced a plan to spend $13 million on the Wisconsin Walleye Initiative, including $8 million to expand capacity at hatcheries. The Wisconsin Conservation Congress calls the plan an investment in the state’s “sporting heritage, tourism and local economies.”
