​BuySeasons honored for hiring practices

New Berlin costume and party retailer BuySeasons Inc. has received a Commitment to a Diverse Workforce Award from the Wisconsin Seasonal Workforce Coalition.

The company was recognized at the Coalition’s annual luncheon at the Pfister Hotel in downtown Milwaukee on June 12.
BuySeasons was selected because of its commitment to hiring a diverse workforce of all ages, backgrounds and cultures.
“The award we received today was for all the individuals that make up our team. We’re involved because it is the right thing to do for people looking for opportunities, and it is the right thing to do for our business,” said Daniel Haight, President & CEO of BuySeasons Inc., one of the Coalition’s founding members.
In addition, Lutheran Social Services received the Community Partner of the Year award and five individual seasonal employees were honored. Tiffany Austin received the Outstanding Leader Award, Shalonda Davis received the Employee of the Year Award, Malcolm Washington Received the Dedicated to Work Award, Yasra Mohammed received the Efforts to Outcomes Award and Anwar Sallumi received the Humanitarian Award.
