The Wisconsin Technology Council welcomed representatives from 16 major companies and 51 emerging firms to the 2015 Wisconsin Tech Summit, held on March 23 at the GE Healthcare Institute in Waukesha. The summit served to connect large companies with startups and give them a space to explore business collaborations in order to leverage technology and innovation.   more »

LBWN Executive Breakfast

Layton Boulevard West Neighbors, Inc. celebrated the neighborhood development progress it has made in the last two decades during its 2015 Executive Breakfast, held March 19 at Alverno College. The event, in its ninth year, highlighted LBWN's 20th anniversary while also calling attention to the nonprofit's pool of stakeholders. LBWN, founded by the School Sisters of St. Francis, has leveraged more than $40 million in neighborhood investments throughout its history. The breakfast event included networking, remarks from community leaders and public officials, and a panel discussion featuring insight from neighborhood residents.   more »

Sweetheart Fashion Show

Waukesha nonprofit Safe Babies Healthy Families Inc. recently hosted the Sweetheart Fashion Show & Luncheon at the Milwaukee Marriott West in Waukesha. The event, which also included a raffle and silent auction, raised money for the organization, which works to ensure safe and healthy children through education, support and resources.   more »
