GREEN BAY – Walker offers funds to help expand Green Bay convention center

A much-anticipated expansion of the KI Convention Center in downtown Green Bay could be getting a $2 million boost from the state.
Mayor Jim Schmitt said Thursday that Gov. Scott Walker has pledged $2 million in assistance, clearing the way for the city to begin the convention center project this fall.

The mayor discussed the nearly $20 million convention center expansion Thursday during a presentation to the Brown County Taxpayers Association at Titletown Brewing in downtown Green Bay.
