Gov. Scott Walker announced Thursday that his budget proposal will include millions of dollars for start-up companies and for marketing the state.
Walker, speaking to the Governor’s Conference on Economic Development at the Monona Terrace in Madison, said he would recommit $75 million for the economic development tax credit program and invest additional money to attract tourism and boost start-ups in Wisconsin. He said the moves were aimed at encouraging entrepreneurship and improving the state’s business climate.
